Korean Pokémon cards

Korean Pokémon cards are official cards printed for the South Korean market. Modern Korean sets closely follow the Japanese sets, with Korean text, the same card size and similar print quality, and they usually cost less than the Japanese or English versions. They are real cards, not fakes.

Korean vs Japanese vs English cards

  • Sets: modern Korean releases generally mirror Japanese sets, including special sets like 151.
  • Size: the same 63 x 88 mm as every other language.
  • Price: Korean booster boxes and singles are usually much cheaper than Japanese or English.
  • Demand: smaller collector demand outside Korea, so values are lower and prices can be harder to check.

Are Korean Pokémon cards worth collecting?

They are a budget way to open sets with Japanese-style art and chase cards, and some collectors like them for their own sake. For resale value, Japanese and English cards have much bigger markets in the US. If value matters to you, compare prices for the same card in each language first, see Pokémon card values.

How to spot fake Korean cards

Use the same checks as any other language: font and spelling, card back colors, texture on full-art cards, thickness and the light test. See how to tell if a Pokémon card is fake.
