Pokémon Halloween cards
Pokémon's Halloween cards are the Trick or Trade BOOster Bundles: bags of mini packs (3 cards each) made to hand out instead of candy, released for Halloween in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Every card carries a small Pikachu jack-o'-lantern stamp on the artwork.
Trick or Trade bundles by year
| Year | Mini packs per bundle | Card set |
|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 40 packs of 3 cards | 30 cards from Sword & Shield sets, 10 holos |
| 2023 | 50 packs of 3 cards | 30 cards including the first Scarlet & Violet cards, 10 holos |
| 2024 | 35 packs of 3 cards | 30 cards, all 10 holos in Cosmos holofoil |
Larger 120-pack bundles were also sold. Gengar, Pikachu and Mimikyu feature on the bags and are the most popular cards. In 2025, instead of a new bundle, Play! Pokémon stores ran October "Pokéween" events with a stamped Spiritomb promo.
What makes them collectible
The cards are reprints of existing cards, so they keep the original set symbol and number, but the Halloween stamp makes them a separate version. Most are worth very little individually; the holo Gengar from each year is usually the top card. Complete stamped sets and sealed bundles from earlier years are what collectors look for.
Halloween-themed cards to collect
Ghost-type Pokémon are a Halloween favorite all year round: see our Gengar Pokémon cards, or browse the spooky full arts in Twilight Masquerade and Shrouded Fable.
Are Trick or Trade Pokémon cards worth anything?
Most are worth well under a dollar. The holo cards, especially Gengar, sell for a few dollars, and sealed bundles hold more value.
How do you know if a Pokémon card is from Trick or Trade?
Look for the small Pikachu jack-o'-lantern stamp on the artwork.
Is there a Trick or Trade bundle this year?
